I was looking for a certain file and a certain picture (JC, I was trying to follow your instructions lol ) anyway, things were not working out right. We swicthed to a Mac computer (not my idea) and the pictures are in such a strange set up. Strange to me anyway. I happened to see this picture of my daughter in Afganistan and I had to use it. I have looked for it before and could never find it. In the top picture you see her by her little wood stove in her room. That is the way they kept their rooms warm. She sent us this picture to show us what it looked like because she had a crazy story involving it. One night her team (That would be a group of missionaries living together in a house) got home late and it was freezing. Most of the time there was no electricity, so she was trying to light her stove. She laid the fire starter wood in it and squirted a little lighter fluid in it. Did you hear me...SQUIRTED LIGHTER FLUID. Why? Because that is the way she had seen others do it when they were in a hurry. OK, don't panic. She was OK. Well, only because God was taking care of her. There was a little spark left in the stove from an earlier fire. POOF. Smoke, ash, heat, and a little flame set her back on her seat. She got up yelling and ran down the dark hall. She thought her face and hair had been burned. When they got to her and got a light on her....she was only missing some valuable face hair, you know, like eyebrows and eyelashes (o: Some of her bangs were singed. They had all smelled such a bad smell, they thought it was worse. Her sweater had singed and caused the smell. Of course her Mother ( and everyone else that heard the story) said to NEVER do that again.
The middle picture shows sheep and a shepherd going right down the street. The third picture shows Good, the dog, and the guards that worked for them. It is a Father and son. Their families lived next door to Tracee's mission team.
I guess I am remembering her time there because she called me today and said she is going back for a ten day trip this Spring. That should be interesting. I am not crazy about it, but i just have totrust God to take care of her. I will tell you more when I know more.
