Yellowstone was a beautiful exciting place to visit. A place where kids from our small town never got to go. Georgie and I were so excited to be there. Staying in a tent was not nearly as fun as we thought it would be. It was freezing and we were sure there was a bear scratching on the tent wall. That is why the next night we stayed in the van. It was still freezing, but at least there was a metal wall between us and the bear.
It was so fun to go swim in a heated pool right in the mountains. It was so pretty. The most amazing thing though was the giant creature that walked right up to the edge of the pool. I could not believe how long its legs were. Some people were starting to get out of the pool and run away. I wasn't afraid. I'm not sure what Georgie thought. It wasn't until later that I learned that it could have jumped right in the water, because they really like water.
That was the first time I ever saw a Moose. I am sure no one else in my school had ever seen a Moose. Yellowstone was amazing.
